Course Learning Objectives

Entrepreneurship has grown into one of the most attractive and potentially rewarding career choices for creative and business-minded individuals. This course will equip participants with an understanding of the fundamental aspects and challenges of new venture creation. Students will gain the knowledge and skills to establish their own business or to think and act entrepreneurially within existing organizations.

This is an action-oriented course, providing a balanced mixture of theoretical knowledge and practical tools to turn your entrepreneurial idea into a successful venture. Students will get acquainted with entrepreneurship concepts and methods used by start-ups worldwide that are especially useful for those aiming for high growth.

2. Session 2: Understanding Business Models and Product-Market Fit

3. Session 3: Attracting Customers and Assembling the Founding Team

4. Session 4: Navigating the Funding Landscape and Pitching

Methodology

"Entrepreneurship is neither science or art. It is a practice.? - Peter Drucker
Throughout this New Venture Creation course, great emphasis will be placed on "doing? entrepreneurship, i.e. through actionable theory and hands-on experiences. The course is based on various learning techniques to cultivate your entrepreneurial mindset: interactive lectures, case discussions, group exercises, reading and video assignments, practical workshops, role plays, and fieldwork.
To take full advantage of this course, you are expected to prepare for each session (detailed instructions will be provided on Moodle) and to participate actively in class discussions and activities.
