Prerequisites

Students must be enrolled in year 4 of the BBA programme and have completed their internships.

Previous Knowledge

No specific prior knowledge other than having completed the required courses.

Workload distribution

This course consists of 6 days of work. The first three involve 4 hours of classroom sessions; the last ones will last as long but feature different content.

Students will need to set time aside to prepare for the different sessions and the final course work assignments.

The course represents 3 ECTS credits, which means 75 hours of work; 24 of which are devoted to classroom sessions and the remaining 51 to independent study. It is important we highlight that a significant part of these 51 hours has to be carried out before the start of the classes.

COURSE CONTRIBUTION TO PROGRAM

The course aims for the students to reflect on:
a) Management duties and roles and executives' psychological profiles, values and inner being.
b) The knowledge, skills and values that they have learnt to date to support their professional and personal growth.

Course Learning Objectives

Upon successfully completing this course students should be able to:

-Identify the professional-management duties and roles that they should undertake in the context of a business-organisation strategy.
-Develop self-awareness as a key instrument for professional and personal development;
-Develop a personal sensibility that enables them to identify their own values and personal motivations when facing business-organisational issues.
-Develop their own awareness of the problems and opportunities that arise with regard to companies (or organisations, in general) and society, all within a framework of an increasing need for economic, social and environmental sustainability.
