COURSE CONTRIBUTION TO PROGRAM

This subject consists of six sequential sessions, each dedicated to a key business figure at a time of change within management history. Instead of focusing on theoretical authors (introduced indirectly), the focus will be on six transcendental entrepreneurs. The six sessions as a whole are based on chronological criteria and should enable students to comprehend the evolution of management thought over time.

Course Learning Objectives

This subject provides participants with a broad framework to understand the creation and development of management as a practical science. By the end of this course, students should be able to recognised some of the key authors in this field based on chronological criteria, that is, within the specific context of the different schools of thought and their respective moments in time.
