Macroeconomics

One of the objectives of this subject is for students to understand how a monetary union works, concretely, the traits a group of countries have to have to be able to efficiently share a currency. The second goal is to analyse if the Euro Zone meets these criteria and to what extent. For this, we will examine the causes, development and end of the crisis in the Euro Zone from 2010 to 2014. Lastly, we will revise the economic and institutional reforms needed for the Euro Zone to be functional and efficient in the future.
