Prerequisites

Bring to class your passion and inquisitiveness, as well as the wealth of own experiences and insights, stories you have heard, seen, or read about, that feature famous and unknown men and women who have changed the way we live and work!

Previous Knowledge

The integrative nature of the course requires bringing together and connecting concepts and insights you have learnt in other courses, such as strategic management, marketing, operations, finance and human resources, among others.

Workload distribution

A Business plan is an executive document that describes what you are planning to offer and how you will be able to reach your objectives. It includes the Strategy, the Business Model, the Marketing, the Sales, the Operations, the Human Resources and the Finance. The main content should be summarized in less than 50 pages, excluding attachments.

COURSE CONTRIBUTION TO PROGRAM

This is a unique opportunity to experience the entrepreneurial process in a laboratory; an essential test before you become a -real- entrepreneur. It is also interesting when you are evaluating opportunities, providing a global perspective for any business. Also in big corporations, any executive should be able to develop a business plan for a new department, business unit or a spinoff company.

Starting up a new business is an adventure that involves risk, no matter if you are an entrepreneur or an intrapreneur. By planning all the functional areas of your new company you are going to be able to reduce and manage that risk. Play the amazing role of the founder and take key decisions to design the future of your own business.

We will assign you a coach that will assist you while you are in the driver seat as a CEO of your own venture. In the "ENTREPRENEURSHIP" course we equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and experiences, now it is the moment to make your aspirations become reality developing the FINAL BUSINESS PROJECT.

Methodology

The learning is based in our 'learn-by-doing' methodology and self-directed learning based on recommended readings.

We offer you diverse tools and methodologies you are welcome to use in order to further elaborate on your idea and work on your venture. These tools provided are, however, not exhaustive and you are welcome to complement the suggested 'toolbox' by any other tools, frameworks, concepts and methodologies you consider relevant.

We will assign you a personal coach to help you in this process. We have more than 30 mentors who are investors, entrepreneurs, and top executives.

Assessment criteria

The FINAL GRADE is going to be 100% based on the FINAL BUSINESS PLAN, following this structure:

- 70%: final DOCUMENT
- 30%: final PRESENTATION

PRESENTATION:
You will have time to present plus time for Q&A. We will specifiy the precise time available for your presentation on Moodle. Note that we will keep strict time control.
This is an EXAM, so you have to make sure that the presentation conveys well the idea, the business model, and the essentials of the business plan (sales and marketing, operations, human resources and finance).
