A glimpse into Spanish, Catalan and Latinamerican Movies to better understand Barcelona, Catalunya, Spain and Latinamerica.
COURSE CONTRIBUTION TO PROGRAM
This elective course provides valuable social, political and economic context to foreign Esade students, to help them know and understand the city, region and country they chose as a destination to study Business.
Course Learning Objectives
We will watch a sample of some of the best movies produced in Catalunya, Spain or Latinamerica in the past decades, They will help students discover, analyse and discuss important episodes of Spanish recent history, or current affairs that affect Catlan and Spanish society nowadays.
Assessment criteria
Students will take a 30 minute long mini-test, multiple choice style, to assess what they learned while watching the movies shown in class. Mini test, 40% of the grade, contributions to forums of discussion, 20%, two final papers, 40%
