Objetivos de aprendizaje de la asignatura
By attending this subject, the students should be able to:
-Understand and prepare the financial statements of a Group of companies, both in a domestic and in an internationalenvironment.
-Differentiate between the objectives of the Consolidated Financial Statements and other aggregate information for other purposes
-Become acquainted with the concepts that determine the existence of a consolidable group and types of relationship between related entities
-Identify and understand the rules and principles that govern the presentation of the Consolidated Financial Statements
-To know the consolidation methods and circumstances that determine its applicability
-Organizing the consolidation process: steps to follow. Homogenization, aggregation, eliminations and adjustments
-Prepare the most important consolidation adjustments
-Maintain a records set for subsequent consolidation processes
-Deal with the amendments arising from investments and divestments
-Integrate financial statements expressed in different currencies
-Deal with the tax effects apearing in the consolidation process: deferred tax assets and liabilities
-Present the Consolidated Financial Statements according to international (IFRS) or USA (USGAAP)accounting standards
-Understand the information included in the consolidated financial statements
Después de cursar esta materia, los estudiantes deberá ser capaces de:
- Comprender y elaborar los estados financieros de grupo de empresas, tanto en un entorno nacional como internacional.
- Diferenciar los objetivos de presentación de Estados Financieros Consolidados de otra información agregada
- Conocer los conceptos que determinan la existencia de un grupo consolidable y tipologías de relación entre las entidades vinculadas
- Identificar y comprender las normas y principios que rigen la presentación de los estados financieros consolidados
- Conocer los métodos de consolidación y circunstancias en que deben aplicarse
- Organizar el proceso de consolidación: Pasos a seguir. Homogeneización, Agregación, Eliminaciones y Ajustes
- Preparar los ajustes de consolidación más relevantes
- Mantener un sistema de registros para operaciones de consolidación posteriores
- Tratar las modificaciones derivadas de inversiones y desinversiones posteriores.
- Integrar estados financieros expresados en diferentes monedas
- Tratar los efectos de impositivos derivados de la consolidación: Impuestos diferidos y anticipados
- Presentar los Estados Financieros Consolidados de acuerdo con la normativa internacional (IFRS) o USA (USGAAP)
- Interpretar la información incluida en los Estados Financieros consolidados
