Course Learning Objectives


- To understand the roots of the worldwide environmental crisis and its consequences.
- To be aware of the solutions in front of it.
- To clarify that acting at all level (companies, public sector, private life) is necessary as responsibility and opportunity at the same time.
- To know the worst problem we are facing nowadays al over the world: Climate Change (What is this? Reasons, actions facing the problem?).
- To realize of the necessity of changing our linear economic system to a circular one closing the loop.
- To see a big panorama of the sustainability including worldwide factors, social and ethical aspects.

Methodology

- Lectures by the professor which aims to generate debate nd always. These are illustrated with an important amount of audiovisual support material.

- Presentation of numerous worldwide cases and examples of corporate success in sustainability that can serve as a model for business transformation towards a corporate sustainability.

- Elaboration and presentation of works by students, analyzing sustainability critically into a company or any issue related to this matter..

- Workshops

- Readings of relevant articles in sustainability

- Elaboration of concept maps

Assessment criteria


The assessment will be continuously, taking into account the different types of activities ensuring a balanced contribution to the evaluation: attendance (30%) and home/class work presentation (30%) - Final work presentation (40%).


Bibliography


The bibliography and references will be presented at each session.
