COURSE CONTRIBUTION TO PROGRAM
A career in sustainability management will require leading systemic change?which starts with you. Leading systemic change requires changing practices, norms, rules, and mindsets, within or beyond the context of organizations. The goal of this course is to equip you with the self-knowledge and with frameworks, tools, and skills needed to orchestrate and contribute to change.
Course Learning Objectives
The overarching goal for this course is prepare you with personal, interpersonal, organizational and systemic frameworks and tools for leading change. More specifically, this course pursues the following learning objectives:
- To equip you for self-leadership, which allows you to navigate personal change and to anchor your change work with others in a deep understanding of your own purpose, vision, values, and strengths
- To provide you with the skills for creating the right conditions for organizational change, such as building strong and positive collaborative relationships and fostering psychological safety
- To understand how to build partnerships and communities across organizational boundaries for systemic change
Methodology
The course will draw on various methods, including cases, interactions with guest speakers, in-class exercises and discussions, character surveys, reflection, and peer coaching.
