This course is taught in a slow paced mode and requires students to work continually and entails a fair amount of reading, reflection and discussion.

COURSE CONTRIBUTION TO PROGRAM

- A course targeting aspiring leaders in Business and Law courses with low experience in Digital Technologies
- Objective: How Digital Technologies will give an edge over competitors. What are your data and what technologies will better connect to your customers and to learn what they expect from you.
- Learning: Make strategic, confident decisions based on solid data and advanced analytics, gain valuable business insights that help you pinpoint weaknesses and discover new opportunities, earn higher profits by better understanding the business, its processes and the customers
- Who will benefit: Participants that do not just know about digital technologies but understand it, translate it, and incorporate it into strategy at the top levels of their organisations.

Methodology

Module Format
This module will be taught by using presentations, case methodology, unit contents, exercises and workshops.
Course Approach: Case and workshop methodology, with a final assignment delivery.
Required amount of preparation: there will be 4 cases, an ongoing workshop and a final assignment.

Assessment criteria

60% Class Participation (includes Check-In attendance)
40% Final assignment

80% compulsory attendance

Grades reflect the quality of a student's active participation in class discussions. Much of a manager's success depends on communication; therefore effective oral communication will constitute the student's grade. Written work should be clear, logical, grammatically correct, spell-checked, persuasive, supported by examples, and backed up by citations for any data, ideas or other content used. It should represent the student's best effort. To do well on the writing assignments, you will need to incorporate and apply the course concepts.
