Course Learning Objectives

To learn and practise the fundamentals of Presentation Skills with the specific objective of becoming a more knowledgeable and experienced presenter with the ability to recognise and adapt to different presentation types.
This involves focusing on a series of more specific objectives during the course, including aspects related to performance, delivery, use of visual aids and other related skills

Methodology

Given the characteristics of the course, there is a minimum requirement of 80% attendance. Failure to meet this requirement automatically leads to a fail. The student would then have to take the final exam at the next available sitting. Students are not permitted to drop out of a course after the date specified by Programme Management. Failure to drop out before the stipulated date will result in an NP and the student having to sit the exam at the next available opportunity.

Students will explore aspects of the following: self and peer assessment of performance, managing nerves, understanding and adapting to the environment subject matter, aims and audience.

Assessment criteria
- Evaluation is carried out as follows:
Students will be evaluated on progress made during the course, the ability and effort to apply skills learned and feedback from the teacher. The course journal will provide evidence of their reflections and a record of their learning.
- The final presentation should contain as many aspects learned on the course as is necessary to deliver a clear and coherently structured business presentation.
