Prerequisites
As established by BBA Programme Management, students have to have taken the previous Economics courses.

Previous Knowledge
Foundations acquired in previous academic years, in particular, the courses and activities offered by the Department of Economics (Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, etc.)
Workload distribution
The time students need to dedicate is distributed between group learning activities to prepare and present in class, acquire knowledge via readings and studying various documents and case studies.
COURSE CONTRIBUTION TO PROGRAM
The course applies the economic background from previous courses to analyse and understand the global economic environment.
Course Learning Objectives
Acquisition of knowledge regarding the environment companies and organizations operate in, as well as the formulation of short, mid and long-term scenarios.
Development of skills to gather, analyse and interpret economic indicators.
Integrate analyses of the global economic environment into decision-making processes in companies and organisations from a functional, as well as sectoral and geographical perspective.

Methodology
An active and participatory methodology is applied based on analysing economic models, databases and various information sources, as well as case study discussions.
