Prerequisites
A working knowledge of basic economics and computing skills is required. The student should have a general understanding of the workings of the global markets, networks, and international relations.

COURSE CONTRIBUTION TO PROGRAM
The course aims at covering the main aspects behind the crypto and Blockchain revolutions. From the inception of the Bitcoin cryptocurrency and the proliferation into multiple "coins" with their own nuances and particular uses, to the disruptive underlying technology known as the Blockchain. The course will also go over the challenges and the potential ways through which entrepreneurs can add value in this ever-changing environment.
Course Learning Objectives
- Get familiar with the crypto world beyond the bitcoin hype
- Learn about the main drivers behind the pattern of cryptos in recent times and analyze the potential bubbles
- Understand the underlying technology known as blockchain, its nuances, its functioning, and potential
- Learn the basics to programming smart contracts on Ethereum
- Discuss, analyze, and brainstorm about the potential blockchain-related applications and how they can add value
Methodology
The course will combine lectures with readings before class, learning activities (discussions and exercises), case studies, and debate on current problems faced by the industry.

Written test: 60%
Practical activities: 40%
