COURSE CONTRIBUTION TO PROGRAM
This gateway seminar is designed for students interested in working in the e-commerce or technology industries, whether startups, established brands, B2B, consumer products, retail, or services. The main idea is to provide an overview of professional roles related to e-commerce and related technology-enabled services.
Course Learning Objectives
- To understand the scope of the e-commerce & technology industry;
- To learn the principles of creating, promoting and running and e-commerce;
- To identify the various career paths in the industry, and the value that management graduates can add;
- To develop self-learning capabilities useful to work in the field

Methodology
- Master classes presenting concepts supported by real life examples
- Introduction to tools and in-class demos
- Class discussions around topics presented

Assessment criteria
Class attendance is mandatory and will be considered in your final grades.
Please note that there is a minimum class attendance required to pass the course according to the "Program Regulations". Hence if the attendance rate is less than an 80% the student will automatically fail the course.
Please check the "Program Regulations" to follow the attendance requirement.
Behaviour during classes will be part of the participation grade, which may be affected if the student does not have the correct attitude during the sessions.
Group exercises will be handed as homework and evaluated as part of the grade.
A peer evaluation will be asked in order to ensure individual commitment in the group exercises.
