COURSE CONTRIBUTION TO PROGRAM
The ongoing shift in focus from processes to customers is reflected in changes to the organizational structures of companies and entities. Product Management is rapidly emerging a key role and skillset for anybody interested in building, consulting or working for a high-growth or innovative company. This course provides the theoretical foundations of what modern, flexible Product management is and the key skillset to implement and evaluate PM strategies.
Course Learning Objectives
Understand the relevance and current status of Product Management in High Growth Ventures and its competitive implications.
Understand and navigate different types of organizational structures and their implications towards the development and management of new products.
Learn how to effectively build a product and experience the process first-hand.
Familiarize with the main tools used in product management.
Understand career opportunities with a focus on Digital Product Development / Management.

Methodology
The course will offer a combination of lectures, case studies, group assignments and class discussions as well as hands-on product development.
Assessment criteria
Individual Assessment: 50%
The individual assessment, which includes class participation and a final individual assignment, will be based on active participation, case reading and discussion as well as on the ability of formulating a solid final reflection that brings together all the learning.
Group Assignments: 50%
A series of group assignments will measure teams' capability of applying the tools and methodology to real-life situations as well as providing an understanding of what the job of Product Manager is.
