Course Learning Objectives
This course has the following learning objectives:
- Understand major trends and challenges with regard to the ecological crisis and their interconnections, in particular with regard to climate change and biodiversity loss
- Understand the role of private organizations with regard to the causes and the solutions to the ecological crisis
- Understand the need for business transformation for environmental sustainability: Business as usual is not an option; but any solution needs to involve business
- Learn about tools, approaches, and communication strategies to develop and implement business transformation for environmental sustainability
- Understanding how change is feasible (resourcing for sustainability, change narrative, dealing with skeptics, success cases)
The class will be taught through a mix of learning methods. These include:

- Guest speakers
- Flipped classroom
- Company cases
