Basic knowledge of Excel spreadsheet; especially the working environment and the different commands and basic functions.
Workload distribution
Class attendance (attendance, contribution and exercises): 70%
Daily assignment: 30%
COURSE CONTRIBUTION TO PROGRAM
With over 750 million Excel users worldwide, only a small percentage of them knows beyond the basic features.
We aim to overcome that barrier and reach an advanced level that surely will provide you a competitive advantage over other candidates or colleagues.
Course Learning Objectives
The course aims to provide knowledge and skills on how to develop business models with MS Excel to create simulation models, models for data analysis or end-user applications, at a high level.
CONTENT
1. Introduction to modelling |
2. Visualization and information analysis. |

4. Database tables. |
5. Risk management. |
6. VBA programming introduction. |
Methodology
Participative classes. Students will acquire the knowledge about the tool through the development of a set of cases. The required theoretical concepts will be introduced when needed.
Assessment criteria
Attendance to class and participation - 50%
Daily assignment consisting on a summary of the class - 50%
