COURSE CONTRIBUTION TO PROGRAM
Through this course, participants will acquire knowledge regarding the necessary legal structure and legal limits to start and carry out business activity.
Course Learning Objectives
Upon completing this course, students will have acquired the competencies needed to make decisions regarding legal questions in the business realm. They will also develop the basic criteria to understand and assess advice received from legal professionals and their actions.
Assessment criteria
Exams: Students' knowledge of the set topics will be assessed through two exams to be carried out during the term. Students will sit a midterm exam on the material seen up to that point. If they successfully pass this exam, the material will not be included in the final exam, and their grades on the midterm will be averaged with those on the exam at the end of the term. If students fail the first midterm, the final exam will cover all the material seen in class. Students¿ grades in this component represent 70% of their final grades for the class.
Practical case studies: For this component, assessment will be based on the grades obtained on four case study analyses carried out during the course. Students' mean grades on these case studies represent 30% of their final grades for the subject.
Students need to earn a minimum mean grade of 4.5 (out of 10) in the exam component for the latter to be averaged with the mean grade in the practical case study component.
